This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit sirokolabs.com, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, or purchase a Siroko Labs product.

2. Data we process

Depending on how you use the website, we may process information submitted through the contact form; your email address and newsletter preferences; basic technical and usage information; purchase information made available by Gumroad; and communications you send to us.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data. Please do not include sensitive personal information in contact messages.

3. Website analytics

We use Framer Analytics to understand general website traffic and performance. Framer Analytics is designed to provide aggregated and anonymised usage information without identifying individual visitors.

We may also use Google Analytics. Where required by law, it will only be activated after you have given consent through the website’s cookie or privacy settings. Depending on your settings, it may process information about your device, browser, approximate location, visited pages and interaction with the website. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the website’s cookie settings, when available.

4. Contact form and email

Information submitted through the contact form is delivered to our email inbox. We process it to respond to your enquiry, provide support, take pre-contractual steps, or pursue our legitimate interest in communicating with customers and visitors.

Contact messages may be retained for up to 24 months after the last relevant communication, unless longer retention is necessary for legal claims, legal obligations or purchase records.

5. Newsletter

If you subscribe, we process your email address to send product updates, articles and other Siroko Labs news. Messages are sent on the basis of consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in each email or by contacting hello@sirokolabs.com.

Details of the newsletter provider and related international transfers will be added once a service has been selected.

6. Purchases through Gumroad

Siroko Labs products are currently sold and delivered through Gumroad. Gumroad acts as merchant of record and processes information needed for payments, taxes, fraud prevention and delivery under its own privacy policy and terms.

We may receive limited customer and transaction information from Gumroad to provide products and updates, offer support, manage licences and access, maintain legal and accounting records, and prevent misuse. We do not receive or store complete payment card details.

7. Legal bases for processing

Depending on the situation, we process personal data based on consent, performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, legal obligations, or legitimate interests in operating the website, responding to enquiries, providing support and protecting our services.

8. Service providers and recipients

Where necessary, data may be shared with Framer, Google if consented analytics is enabled, Gumroad, email and newsletter providers, professional advisers or authorities. We do not sell personal data.

9. International data transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or another recognised safeguard.

10. Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary. Contact messages are normally kept for up to 24 months; newsletter data until you unsubscribe; analytics data according to provider settings; and transaction records for the period required by law.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
